Continental Structural Plastics (CSP) has the most advanced composite materials development processes in the world. Our expert staff is continually seeking ways to make our structural composites lighter and stronger, helping our OEM customers meet industry regulations for increased fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.
Our light-weight composites products, including Class A body panels, offer a high strength-to-weight ratio, boost fuel efficiency and won’t corrode or degrade when chemically exposed. Because composites are easier to mold, they are ideal for liftgates, decklids and other components requiring complex or distinctive styling cues that can’t be achieved with other materials.
New, mixed materials approaches allow us to bond Class A exterior panels to a variety of inner materials to achieve superior weight and strength specifications, while reducing tooling costs.
Continental Structural Plastics is the world leader in diversified composite technologies for the automotive, heavy truck, building and construction industries.

One of our latest material advancements is TCA Ultra Lite®. This award-winning advanced composite competes head-to-head with aluminum for weight- and cost-savings, and beats aluminum on several fronts, including tooling costs, design capability and dent and corrosion resistance.
TCA Ultra Lite = Lighter, Stronger
When combined with CSP’s patented vacuum and bonding manufacturing processes, TCA Ultra Lite offers a premium Class A finish with paint and gloss qualities comparable to metals, including aluminum.
The Next Generation In Light-Weighting Technology
The use of TCA Ultra Lite, a Class A body panel material, results in a 20 lb (9 kg) weight savings on the Stingray Coupe model. This is the first production use of CSP’s Ultra Lite advanced composite.
