Corporate Responsibility Kevin Dunlap 2020-04-02T11:10:11-04:00

Corporate Responsibility

CSP recognizes its social responsibility and commitment to our employees and to the communities in which we live and work. As an organization, CSP requires that our employees comply with all policies related to our corporate responsibilities and report any activities that may violate such policies and standards.

Compliance

In all areas of CSP business operations, employees must comply with all applicable laws, regulations and directives of the countries and regions in which the organization operates. Additionally, CSP will ensure that its employees receive adequate information and training in relation to all relevant legal, regulatory and internal requirements that apply to their jobs.

Human Rights

CSP will not engage in any form of forced labor. All work will be voluntary and employees will be free to leave their positions upon reasonable notice. CSP will not use forced or involuntary labor, whether bonded, prison or indentured, including debt servitude.

CSP will not use child labor in any stage of manufacturing. The term “child” refers to any person employed under the age of 17 (or 16 where the law of the country permits), under the age for completing compulsory education, or under the minimum age for employment in the country, whichever is greatest. The use of workplace apprenticeship programs, which comply will all legal regulations, is supported.

Hours of work in workweeks and workdays are not to exceed the maximum set by local, state, and federal law. Compensation and benefits are to be provided in accordance with all applicable wage and benefit laws. The basis of an employee’s wages shall be communicated, paid timely and accurately documented. CSP will pay overtime in accordance with federal and state labor laws. Furthermore, all employees will be paid no less than the legally established minimum-wage.

CSP promotes a work environment free from harassment and unlawful discrimination. Harsh and inhumane treatment of employees is prohibited. CSP employees are required to comply with all anti-harassment and discrimination policies.

Employees have the right to join associations of their own choosing or to refrain from joining them, in accordance with local law. CSP prohibits retaliation against any employee for communicating openly with management regarding conditions of employment.

Health and Safety

Employee exposure to potential safety hazards is to be eliminated wherever possible. CSP employees are to be provided with appropriate personal protective equipment. Employees will not be disciplined for raising health or safety concerns. CSP supports continuous improvement of working conditions in all of its facilities.

Environmental

CSP will obtain, maintain and keep current all required environmental permits and registrations. All employees are required to comply with operational and reporting requirements. CSP supports a proactive approach to environmental challenges and encourages initiatives to promote environmental awareness and responsibility. CSP will comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations and will promptly develop and implement changes to correct any non-compliance issues as CSP is made aware.

Corruption and Ethics

CSP expects the highest standards of integrity from its employees in all business interactions with a strict prohibition against all forms of corruption, extortion and embezzlement.

CSP will never pay, offer, promise, or authorize the payment, directly or indirectly, of any bribe or corrupt payment (in the form of money or anything of value) to anyone for the purpose of inducing or rewarding any favorable action or obtaining any improper advantage. CSP will obtain and retain business by providing the best product or service at the best price. An occasional business dinner is acceptable, but frequent or lavish entertainment must be avoided. CSP places the primary responsibility on our employees for ensuring adherence to these standards. Violations to the CSP Ethics Policy will not be tolerated.

CSP will maintain a process for employees to raise issues of concern in a confidential manner. CSP will ensure that the employee’s confidence is maintained to the extent possible and protect any employee from retaliation. Community engagement is encouraged to help create improved social and economic development.
